What’s on at the Viaduc des Arts in December? Check out the programme!

From 1 to 31 December, come and enjoy the Christmas lights, unique handcrafted creations and a photography exhibition along Avenue Daumesnil. These are moments to share with family or friends, in the heart of the 12th arrondissement.

1. Advent Calendar Competition - 1 to 24 December

December kicks off with the famous Advent calendar on the Instagram account @viaducdesartsofficiel 🎉
Every day, a unique print showcasing the world of local craftspeople will be unveiled on the Instagram account. These same posters, in full size, will be displayed in the shop windows of the participating craftspeople. Initially hidden behind tissue paper, they will be unveiled in a sneak preview by an artisan. This will form an Advent calendar along the Viaduc des Arts and on the Instagram account @viaducdesartsofficiel.

✨ A little challenge this year: a film reference has been slipped into each piece - can you spot the film?

Conditions for entering the competition

• The competition is open to all individuals aged 18 or over, residing in mainland France or visiting Paris.

Competition rules

How to score the most points to win? (No rules are mandatory for participation)

1️⃣ Follow the accounts:
• 1 point if you follow the Instagram account @viaducdesartsofficiel
• 1 extra point for each participating artisan’s Instagram account you follow (up to 24 points)

2️⃣ Engage on Instagram:
• 1 point per comment on Viaduc des arts posts, tagging 2 friends (up to 24 points max)
• 2 extra points for posting a story of a purchase from a Viaduc des arts artisan, mentioning @viaducdesartsofficiel and using the hashtag #aventviaduc

At the end of these 24 days, once all the points have been tallied, the grand prize winner will be announced in a story and contacted by the Viaduc des Arts via private message on Instagram from 2 January 2026.
The first prize winner will receive: a box of chocolates from Atelier C.

General conditions

• Participation validity: only entries that comply with the conditions outlined in these rules will be considered
• Prizes cannot be exchanged or converted into cash
• The organiser reserves the right to verify participants' identities and adherence to the rules
• Any attempt at fraud or failure to comply with the terms will result in immediate disqualification

2. A photographic journey by Agnès Marffy - 6 to 17 December

As part of the 12X12 Festival, artist Agnès Marffy will exhibit her series of black-and-white photographs in the display windows of the Viaduc des arts.

For the past three years, her phone has rung every day at 6.10 pm, reminding her to capture a moment suspended in time for 60 seconds.

At that hour, when the light shifts and the day still hesitates before giving way to night, her alarm sounds. Agnès captures that reflection on a window pane, that passing silhouette, that detail which would ordinarily have escaped her notice.

For the artist, these photos are a way of reconnecting with the present, of cultivating a sense of wonder, and of sharing this attentiveness to the world. It is also an invitation to slow down, to observe, to be amazed.

3. Costume Saturday at the artisans’ workshop - 13 December

Step back in time to the 19th century! The duo from Un Jour dans le Temps, accompanied by the artisans of the Viaduc des Arts, invite you to visit the workshops, discover the traditional crafts and their history, and admire the period costumes. An experience not to be missed!
